Watch: Ahn Hyo Seop and Kim Yoo Jung battle obstacles while filming a kiss scene for “Lovers Of The Red Sky”

SBS’s “Lovers of the Red Sky” has revealed a behind-the-scenes video of the kiss scene between Ahn Hyo Seop and Kim Yoo Jung!

Ahn Hyo Seop and the director coordinate the timing of his actions for the scene, and once the cameras start rolling, Ahn Hyo Seop and Kim Yoo Jung step into the character and deliver their lines. When they bend over to kiss, they lose their balance due to the tilt of the surface they are sitting on. Ahn Hyo Seop says, “Ah, that’s too far”, as he falls to the ground, and Kim Yoo Jung tells him to be careful.

They try the kiss again, but Ahn Hyo Seop slowly slides down the slope, which makes Kim Yoo Jung laugh and asks him where he’s going.

They decide to sit on sandbags, which makes it easier for the actors to sit on the inclined surface. Finally, they manage to film the scene of the emotional kiss.

Next, Ahn Hyo Seop is tricked into thinking he’s doing an interview, when in reality the actors are planning a surprise birthday party for him. As he answers the interview question, Kim Yoo Jung slowly walks up from behind with a cake. She starts singing happy birthday as soon as he’s finished answering, and Ahn Hyo Seop turns around in surprise. Ahn Hyo Seop reveals it’s the first time he’s received a birthday cake on set, and they snap a photo together to celebrate.

Kim Yoo Jung and Ahn Hyo Seop are back to film the kiss scene, this time from a different perspective. Ahn Hyo Seop’s hat hits Kim Yoo Jung across the forehead on the first try, and the beaded string on the hat gets in the way on the second try. The director gives them more detailed instructions and they finally finish the kiss scene.

The video shows the actors filming the scene of the painting competition and the ensuing auction. Ha Ram (Ahn Hyo Seop) and Prince Yangmyeong (Gong Myung) engage in a bidding war for the painting by Hong Chun Gi (Kim Yoo Jung), where Gong Myung gives hilarious and overreacting to Ha’s offers. Ram. Ha Ram ultimately makes the highest bid and wins Hong Chun Gi’s painting.
