AUO will attend Touch Taiwan 2022 at Taipei Nangang Expo Center from April 27-29. With the theme “New Future with Infinite Horizon”, AUO combines advanced ALED display technologies and outstanding software/hardware integration capabilities to create a highly simulated environment. intelligent virtual studio and a flight simulator. AUO is teaming up with ecosystem partner, Renovatio Pictures and Brogent Technologies Inc., to turn the video production process on its head in the film and television (F&T) industry and create an all-new immersive entertainment experience. Meanwhile, AUO applies its technology integration capabilities to high-end business notebooks and wearable devices by integrating LCD module with camera and low power consumption and high color saturation Cholesteric Liquid Crystal (ChLC) respectively. to improve the post-pandemic hybrid work experience. In addition, AUO will showcase next-generation Micro LED and AmLED display technologies for gaming and automotive applications, as well as energy-saving and carbon-reducing solutions for circular economy and based solutions. on display for the medical and entertainment sectors, showcasing extensive applications integrated with AIoT. in innovative sectors in order to build an industrial ecosystem and provide the best solutions at the cutting edge of the industry.
ALED creates an immersive virtual reality experience for the F&T and attractions industry
AUO is dedicated to the R&D and production of advanced display technologies and continuously works with ecosystem partners to provide smart technologies and solutions to various industries. Given the fierce competition in F&T and the huge impact of the pandemic, F&T creators are facing immense time and cost pressure while having to produce new high-quality F&T works quickly. AUO is partnering with one of Taiwan’s leading film and video production studios, Renovatio Pictures, to build a highly simulated intelligent virtual studio measuring nearly 8 meters in width and 4 meters in height. With AUO’s ALED technologies to independently drive and illuminate each pixel, it is seamlessly assembled to achieve large-scale custom designs and shapes, without restriction of shape and infinite expansion, which can replace screen studio conventional green, while dramatically reducing post-production time. and the cost of accessories. Such an ALED screen allows actors to experience virtual immersive settings inside the studio and give their best performance.
Footage captured by professional on-site videographers will also be presented in real time on a 108-inch display panel equipped with AUO’s exclusive ART (advanced no-reflection technology) which comes with anti-glare and anti-glare functions. – Reflective and provides the audience with the best viewing experience on non-reflective surfaces. In the future, AUO hopes to introduce an intelligent virtual studio to major exhibition venues and schools in Taiwan, with the aim of accelerating upgrades and transformations of Taiwan’s F&T industry and enhancing the prowess of Taiwan’s digital content value chain.
AUO also uses ALED technologies for the P1.25 hemispherical assembly and combines its video processing technologies to create a flight simulator. Complemented by a 6-axis dynamic driver’s seat, developed by AUO’s ecosystem partner Brogent, the hemispherical cockpit features extreme simulated visuals and dynamic seating for an immersive entertainment experience. The flight simulator can be applied to simulated racing facilities in the entertainment industry and special training, such as driving, sailing and flying with simulated scenarios and training modes to quantify training performance , which can shorten the training time according to the precision data to achieve personalized training and also reduce the training risk.
AUO is capable of one-stop integration and offers a complete local LED production line. From material selection, product design to production and assembly, AUO provides comprehensive overall planning and brings world-class integrated solutions to Taiwan’s M&T and entertainment industry.
Displays integrate cameras and ChLC to enhance the hybrid working experience
At Touch Taiwan 2022, AUO will showcase a 15.6-inch dual-screen laptop, one of the screens using high-reflection optical film, which has the principle of selective reflection, to display the keyboard rather than the black screen. usual in standby mode. Combined with the touchscreen functions, the screen can switch to display the keyboard via a single tap on the screen, allowing for more usage scenarios on business notebooks. The on-demand display application can be extended to other display monitors displaying a custom standby image to blend into the surroundings as installation art with a cohesive aesthetic.
AUO’s 14-inch super narrow bezel laptop screen integrates a minimized camera module with the LCD display module to effectively reduce the bezel to 5.17mm for maximized screen-to-body ratio and satisfaction. maximum visual. This excellent integration technology greatly reduces the complexity and production cost of assembling laptops while making it lighter, easier to carry with aesthetic design, as well as satisfying the need for video conferencing for work. post-pandemic hybrid and distance learning.
Moreover, the 7.9 inch reflective screen adopts ChLC technology, which can interrupt the drive voltage after finishing static display, and use ambient light to display the screen without any backlight. This could significantly reduce power consumption. Since no color filters or polarizers are required, its reflectivity and color saturation perform better than commercial color e-paper display, providing paper-like reading quality and image quality. exquisite color, supporting both energy conservation and eye care. Its future applications include educational displays and outdoor public displays.
The 2022 Smart Display Innovative Application Forum will be held alongside the exhibition. AUO’s Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Wei-Lung Liau, will deliver a speech on April 27 titled “Co-Creating the Future through Display Innovation”, and Mr. PH Lin, President of AUO’s subsidiary Space4Money Inc. , will also deliver a keynote titled “Innovative Digital Marketing in Retail Domains”. We cordially invite you to visit us at Touch Taiwan 2022 to experience the endless possibilities of AUO’s technology and solution.
